Kyoto TAG inks are the result of a collaboration between Japanese stationer TAG and Kyoto Kusakubi Laboratory (specialising in colour dyes). The colours of these beautiful inks date back to the Heian era of Japan (approximately 1000 years ago) and were crafted according to traditional dyeing techniques in the ancient city of Kyoto, Japan. The cuckoo logo is base on ancient haiku poetry and in particular a poem by Basho Matsuo who was the most famous poet in 17th century Japan.
